Workmonster Racing Engines     |   home                      Porting 007 OK, before you grab the grinder and let 'er eat, you need to find your references.  I use: the pushrod  holes(shown), the stock bottom of the valve guide, the floor of the ports, the valve guide bore, and the intake and exhaust mounting holes.     The intake ports need to be widened as mutch as possible where they go by the pushrod holes. Careful transferring will allow you to thin the wall to .050 or so. Enlarging the port entrance to match a gasket is a waste of time.
